*Dr. Shiva Kumar Kuppuswamy is a leading consultant Surgical Oncologist of Coimbatore practicing at Royal Care Hospitals, Coimbatore.

*Finishing his MBBS in 1999 from the prestigious Mysore University he undertook comprehensive training at Bangalore in MS General Surgery and MCh Surgical Oncology from the renowned Rajiv Gandhi University ‘of Health Sciences in Bangalore.

*Dr. Shiva Kumar Kuppuswamy started his Consultancy at the World renowned St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, and worked with dedication and climbed the ladder to become Professor and Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology.

*During his tenure at St John’s Medical College Hospital, he was instrumental in building up the Department.

*He was successful in establishing a high level of training and was successful in stating Super-specialty courses in Surgical Oncology (both DNB and MCh courses). He was the principal investigator in multiple research.

*He had a great interest in the well-being of the community and had organized several awareness talks and community Screening programs.
